~ My Family ~
Daughter, Gracie, a freshmen at ECU this year and a product of BCPS. My wife, Erin, a teacher of 21 years in Burke County Schools. My son, Copeland, going into 3rd grade in the
Global Immersion Academy at MVES.

As a father of school age children and a graduate of Burke County Schools (Freedom High Alumni), as well as having a wife who is an educator, I have always had an interest in the school system and in the leadership of our community. I am passionate about being involved in the lives of my children and in the lives of the children in our community. Being involved in educational functions throughout the county, such as Read Across America Day, chaperoning field trips, volunteering at school functions, and coaching sports, I realize how valuable children and learning are. This is so important because these lives are our FUTURE.
I also feel strongly about serving others. If I were a member of the Board of Education, I would work hard to serve- to build and maintain relationships within the community. It's my hope that by doing so- children's lives, as well as teachers' parents', and other community member's lives would be enhanced, with their voices being heard.

Coaching has always been a way to give back to the community for me. It's also something I really enjoy.
